Australian Catholics Exploring the Diaconate presents a webinar ‘Inspired by St Phoebe and the Mystics’ on the Feast of St Phoebe, 2025. It features presentations by Ellie Hidalgo from Discerning Deacons and Dr Kerrie Hide from Contemplatio as well as sharing from Deacons and women about how St Phoebe inspires them today. During the evening, ACED launched the public document ‘Potential for Women Deacons in the Australian Catholic Churches.’ The event was supported by Catholic Religious Australia.

Australian Catholics Exploring the Diaconate presents a webinar ‘Where are St Phoebe’s Successors Today?’ on the Feast of St Phoebe, MC-ed by Geraldine Doogue AO and Gail Gill. It features presentations by Dr Sandie Cornish and Fr Frank Brennan SJ, and testimonies by Deacon Adrian Gomez, Joanna Thyer and Sr Elizabeth Young RSM. The event was supported by Catholic Religious Australia.
Past Event: Feast of St Phoebe Retreat and Webinar 2023
Our group, Australian Catholics Exploring the Diaconate, gathered for a retreat for women and men enthused by the diaconate as a permanent vocation and interested in the discernment of their life and ministry. As part of the retreat and the international Feast of St Phoebe celebrations, we held a webinar at the end of our retreat, on the theme of 'St Phoebe and Women in the early Church, inspiration for a synodal Church today.'
